Peaches D8NE @Salt House는 기존 건축의 시간과 흔적을 보존한 상태에서, 새로운 프로그램을 개입시키는 방식으로 구성된 공간이다.

공간은 기존 구조를 적극적으로 드러낸다. 목조 트러스와 노출된 천장 구조, 시간이 축적된 벽면의 질감은 제거되거나 정리되지 않고 그대로 유지되며, 장소가 지닌 물리적 기억을 드러낸다.

천장에 설치된 대형 샹들리에는 이러한 맥락 속에서 유일하게 강하게 개입된 요소로 작동한다. 수직으로 배열된 조명은 기존 구조와 대비를 이루며, 공간의 중심을 형성하는 동시에 시선을 집중시키는 장치가 된다.

중앙의 긴 테이블과 주변의 좌석은 공간의 흐름을 단순하게 정리하며, 다양한 사용을 수용할 수 있는 유연한 구조를 만든다. 각각의 요소는 독립적인 오브젝트로 강조되기보다, 전체적인 분위기와 균형 속에서 작동한다.

이 공간은 새로운 형태를 만들어내기보다, 기존의 상태를 존중하면서 필요한 만큼만 개입하는 방식을 통해 완성된다.

Peaches D8NE @Salt House is a project that introduces a new program while preserving the accumulated time and traces of the existing structure.

The space reveals its original condition as it is. The wooden trusses, exposed ceiling structure, and the aged texture of the walls are left untouched, allowing the physical memory of the place to remain visible.

A large chandelier installed at the ceiling acts as the only element of deliberate intervention within this context. Composed of vertically arranged lights, it contrasts with the existing structure while establishing a visual center and drawing focus within the space.

The long central table and surrounding seating organize the flow of the space in a simple manner, allowing for flexible use. Each element does not stand out as an isolated object, but operates within an overall balance and atmosphere.

Rather than creating a new form, the space is completed through a restrained approach that preserves the existing condition while introducing only the necessary level of intervention.
