Terrace Kukka는 꽃이라는 결과가 아닌, 꽃이 자라나는 환경을 공간으로 풀어낸 프로젝트다.

바닥과 벽은 흙의 질감을 연상시키는 텍스처 도장과 컬러 콘크리트로 구성되어, 공간을 하나의 지형처럼 인식하게 만든다. 그 위에 워터웨이브 패널로 이루어진 천장은 빛과 주변 요소를 반사하며 물의 흐름을 암시하고, 서로 다른 성질의 두 요소가 겹쳐지며 공간의 기본적인 조건을 형성한다.

레이아웃은 물 위에 떨어진 한 방울의 파장이 퍼져나가는 형태를 바탕으로 방사형으로 전개되며, 좌석과 테이블, 꽃을 위한 요소들은 개별 오브젝트가 아닌 지형에서 자연스럽게 드러난 형태로 구성된다. 중앙에 놓인 꽃은 공간의 기준점이 되며, 유리로 구성된 클래스 공간은 시각적으로 열려 있어 꽃을 다루는 과정까지 하나의 장면으로 이어진다.

흙과 물을 연상시키는 재료와 형태, 그리고 빛의 반사와 흐름은 하나의 환경으로 겹쳐지며, 공간은 단순한 배경이 아닌 꽃이 존재할 수 있는 조건 자체로 완성된다.

Terrace Kukka is a project that translates the conditions in which flowers grow into a spatial experience, rather than focusing on the flowers themselves.

The floor and walls are finished with textured coatings and pigmented concrete, evoking the qualities of soil and allowing the space to be perceived as a continuous terrain. Above, the ceiling composed of water-wave panels reflects light and surrounding elements, suggesting the flow of water. These contrasting conditions overlap to establish the fundamental environment of the space.

The layout is organized radially, inspired by the moment a drop disperses across the surface of water. Seating, tables, and floral elements are not treated as independent objects, but emerge as extensions of the terrain. Flowers positioned at the center act as focal points, while the glass-enclosed class area remains visually open, incorporating the process of arrangement into the overall experience.

Materials and forms that recall soil and water, together with reflections and shifting light, layer into a single environment. The space is not conceived as a backdrop for flowers, but as the very condition in which they can exist.
